Hangar wanted Southside of Glasgow

Having got back into the helicopter market following around 2 years of being out, I now find myself needing a hangar in or around the Southside of Glasgow. I am happy to go further afield but that would be my ideal, perhaps around Neilston, Dunlop, Newton Mearns, East Kilbride. It is a 3 bladed machine and as such the space required is about 36ft by 36ft to allow for the blades but the door opening can be much less than that. If anyone has an empty barn or large shed they want to let out, please let me know. I'm obviously a private pilot so there wouldn't be lots of daily take offs and landings, mainly the odd weekend. Thanks.

Devil

Lioncopter may have some knowledge, if he's on here these days.

3 blades means you've given up on the B47 idea then…...

Sadly yes. I looked at quite a few and wanted to end up with something I could get out of, in terms of selling if I had to, without losing my shirt. All the ones I looked at within my budget needed an amount of work that if done would mean I could never have sold without making a huge loss. I've bought an Enstrom which I know is a hundred, if not a thousand miles away from the wonderful Bell 47 but at least I'm back in the sky. Thanks for your interest and lets see if Lioncopter is still around PPRuNe these days. Cheers

Hi BVGS we both know Mr N H. You used to or still might have the same silver 4x4 as me and I once bumped into you on a ferry to Ireland.
Send me a Pm if you like.
Oh and my pprune name is a manufacturer of another interest we share.

Rinker.

Hangar south side Glasgow

Hi BVGS

There are a few private helicopter operators around the south side of Glasgow... including two who have hangars that I know of

It will be nice to see an Enstrom in Scotland again.. last I remember were at Cumbernauld owned by Geoff Shrigley who had G-KLAY, G-MEYO and then a 480 N480E

Which one have you bought ? pm me if you like
