Gordy Takes A Cruise!

Gordy got run off from home by his Wife for some reason and he is hiding out on a Ship headed to the middle of the Ocean somewhere. He asked me to post photos but not let his Wife know where he was hiding. At least that is my side of it and no matter what Gordy has to say.....proof is in the photos. Something Mrs. Gordy might remember in the future.

Gordy would be doing this himself except access to pprune is restricted while he is on the Ship. It seems an interesting Contract to work on and when he returns I am sure he will tell us all about it. If Mrs. G grants him permission to speak.

Looks like a 76 in the hangar. Did they use a 222 in the old days?

I probably saw him leave the Port of LA or at least the ship. I was working there at that time on that day.

Good to see this is up and running again. They used to use a Bell 230.

Bosun and Fire/Rescue Crew

Gordy posted this elsewhere.....and reports they are almost to the destination and will be beginning Flight Operations shortly.

Looks like they are running this operation on a shoe-string budget. They only bought two blades!

Well, Gordy is only half the pilot he thinks himself to be so it should even out!

(Note: As Gordy is unable to defend himself....I shall take every opportunity to get my snarky comments about him into the thread so when he finally gets Comms again...he will have something to talk about.)

This thread proves being a Utility Pilot can have its benefits!

Flying Offshore has to be like going to the Factory everyday....but with a view perhaps.

For the uninitiated but fascinated, can someone please explain what this is about - it would no doubt make it even more fascinating!

And whoever hired his team's cheerleaders needs an eye test. Not a pom-pom between them

Matching outfits, though

Kind of surprised the hangar door is forward facing at the bow - wouldn't a large wave smash it?

I'm impressed the conversion of the 2 bladed S76 went so well, it even looks like a jetbanger on the inside .

Looks like a good launch.

Sea Launch Successfully Launches @ Sea ...EUTELSAT 3B Soars Up, Up + Away (Launch)
Main engine and throttling down in the after launch minutes are all reporting 'nominal'. Second stage has now jettisoned.
Back to work Gordy.

Hours from now the crew will be returned to the Sea Launch platform, having conducted and viewed the launch from a nearby location on the water.
