Guidance needed

Hey guys how are you? Im a low time pilot with 500hrs sic on mi8. I have been saving up to start getting more licenses and endorsements. At the moment i only have canadian and colombian comercial but i am looking into getting the faa would like to also to my long line endorsement to improve my control tecnique and give me a chance of flying external/long line at my company. But i firt want some experienced pilots give me some advice to which way is better to improve my chances in the helo industry, if its ifr first or the jaa.
Hopefully will start training for endorsements in the mids of 2014.
