Joining Up for Flying Helos

Curious as to whether US or AUS Army (or other service) would take on someone aspiring to become a helo pilot at 45 (who already has many hours flying tail-wheel and tricycle gear aircraft) ?
Thx for time,
J.

Give it a good go if you're keen - no point hanging back and wondering what if.
