Angel Self Fly Hire R44 Blackpool

Hi Guys,

Can anyone recommend somewhere or someone who has R44 available for self-fly-hire please?

Id be very grateful.

Phil Durkin out of hangar 3 blackpool airport has two machines G-DYCE & G-CCYG.

Yeah phil is the man. He will expect you to do a check ride with an instructor first but if you want a time served gent with great machines he is your man.

Rented from Phil myself, when I was up north on a visit. Nice guy and clean well maintained machines.

One caveat, they have a number/mixture of VRPs for entry/exit of helicopters at Blackpool; get a briefing and make notes.

Thank you For your replies everyone. Managed to track Phil down and I have to agree a true gent on the phone!

I'm flying with one of his guys on mon/tues

Aircraft are hangared with Pool Aviation in Hangar 3

Rate seems very reasonable too!!

Dont tell phil that!!!!!!

I have hours still on account going back years there was never a hint of him not honouring them... i offered a fuel surcharge as it was ages ago and fuel has gone through the roof since then. Well maintained machines too. All the best looking breezy and showery next few days fly safe.
