IR Initial in Level D Simulator

Is it possible to take the Initial IR for EASA ATPL(H) in a Level D Sim?
Was kind of hoping to be able to get it done under CAA supervision while at Flight Safety in the AW139 Recurrent for which I am already FAA ATP Type rated.

I don't believe so. I know an AW139 pilot operating in the ME on a foreign local licence who is trying to add an EASA IR(H) to his EASA ATPL and has been explicitly told by the CAA that the test must be done in an aircraft (and not in the simulator on his door step!)
