instructor course on new type

Hello,

I consider taking an easa instructor course FI(H) on a turbine machine. Have only flown pistons so far. Does anyone have experience with either traning pilots for the FI(H) on a new type or taking the course on a new type themself?

As far as I know, one needs to have a valid type rating to train to FI(H).

The course can be done on multiple types though, providing you hold a rating for the machine you're training on.

Unlike the CPL which has to be done on one type and doesn't need any prior experience on the type.

Hope this helps.
