I'm not thinking of Brasil as a part of civilised world any more

An idiot gets trigger happy on a street? Maybe he should try how it looks like when somenone is returning fire, just for starters, so maybe the idiot feels that the bullets on the opposite side of trigger cause death and not game points.

Well well, a tremendous opportunity for Helibras to increase the value per unit of their sales to the National Police by offering turret-mounted mini-guns which can be slaved to an 'auto-fix' on a FLIR!

On a more serious note .. just what were these guys thinking .. in a residential area no less !!

Come on Chaps, this is surely a wind up..!!

Next thing we know, will be the Brit Police armed with things like that in place of their trusty Staff..?

Yes, this video is brutal, but you may not know that drug trafickers have used a tank (!!) and machine guns to shut down a tunnel and kidnap a bunch of people in the past. Or that they shot down a police AS350 some years ago. This is not Europe.

Does that mean it is justified to open fire like this over a residential area (a "favela", slums, actually)? Of course not.

There are other ways of stopping a car. A much better way would be, to keep the distance, shine the night sun on it and get the ground units organized to stop the car.

.... trusty Staff..?
What about the Staff that can't be trusted ?

It would be really "interesting" if someone could post a translation of the crew's commentary

Rio Rambo

Cops spray the city with machine gun fire with absolutely no regard for public safety, trying to kill one gang member on the move.

What a mind numbing third world country!

Hope they stop doing that before the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics

Madness.
