Do not overlook the alteration in shear center that any of these modifications would drive. (Over a small span, it would indeed be negligible). Target fixation on merely altering CG can bite you though.

Pitch-lag coupling can cause some nasty destabilization issues, especially if this blade is not affixed to an articulated rotor head.

reflex trailing edge adjustment

Hi

I am adjusting the same blades as discussed here.the blades have a full length reflex trailing edge. looking for info on what effect adjusting each section of the blade will have. such as collective pressure, stick shake. blade tracking. I have found that the outer 1/3 of the blade can effect tracking.collective pressure and stick shake.will what effect does adjusting the inner 2/3 of the blade have.

All been done before (like most things).

Go find yourself a H500 blade and all will be revealed.

Two holes drilled and tapped in the end of the spar. One large diameter and one smaller diameter toward the leading edge.

Insert threaded Monel metal plugs of length to suit. Monel = 8.4-8.8 g/cm3.

The size of these weights vary considerably on MD500 blades depending on the size of the "taco shells" fitted.

In the pic under the blue tape. You may have to zoom on the image as it is the best I could find.
