B2 212/412 course for EASA Rating??
Hi - can anyone help me sourcing options for a B2 212/412 course - so I can add the Type Ratings to my EASA Licence - to get a job!
I have years of experience on these types, but because of the EASA requirement I need to do this course. Thanks.

Type rating transfer
With the JAR-FCL it used to be that you could transfer a type rating from a valid ICAO license onto your JAR one provided you had 500 hours on type. If you happen to have years of experience on B212/412 series then it shouldn't really be a problem. You would be issued a B212/412 type rating with a restriction for whatever country your ICAO is originally from (New Zealand?) The restriction can be lifted once you complete a checkride with a JAR TRE. I am not aware whether things have changed with EASA but shouldn't be hard to find out.

One new bad thing with EASA will be that if you do not revalidate your type rating for more than 3 years, you will loose it (almost) forever.
That mean - (almost) new type rating course (not only a check ride!)
