New South Wales tomorrow

The Fire Danger Rating in some parts of NSW tomorrow is "catastrophic", in response to predicted near record high temperatures, lots of fuel, low humidity and a strong westerly wind that will unusually, not abate until 9pm.

In not disimilar conditions in Victoria in Feb 2009 retardent drops sometimes became inefective due to dispersal caused by high winds, if so consider suggesting to HQ that using your siren to warn/wakeup communities ahead of the front is a better option than returning to base.

Good luck.
