Cruise hires luxury copter for London flights
Monday, December 03, 2012 - 09:51 AM

Tom Cruise has hired a helicopter to fly him around London.

The 'Mission: Impossible' actor has splashed out on a luxurious chopper designed by Hermes for his stay in the UK while he films his upcoming movie 'All You Need Is Kill' - in which he plays a soldier fighting a war against aliens.

The Sun newspaper describes the limited edition helicopter as a "living room in the sky" that boasts cream leather interior and noise-minimising walls to guarantee a quiet flight.

Tom, 50, recently brought London's Trafalgar Square to a standstill as he filmed helicopter and tank scenes in the busy tourist destination.

Despite complaints, a spokesman for the City of Westminster insisted the disruption was worth it because the movie "raises the profile of the city and is good for tourism".

the article mentions Hermes - the only Hermes aircraft I know of in the London area (for charter anyway) is EC135 G-SENS, from Capital at Oxford

Accurate as ever, when they say cream leather interior do they actually mean the orange cabin seats or brown cockpit seats, or are they referring to a completely different aircraft that is in fact a flying living room?

add the EC135 Hermes to the list of a./c he's flown in

F-14A (guessing he and the other Top Gun cast got free backseat rides at Miramar)
BK-117 (Mission Impossible II)
Bell 205 (Mission Impossible III)
Puma HC.1

Cheers

Add to that: looping and rolling the Red Bull Bolkow (4:30 mins onwards on the link), and taking a spin in the RedBull F1 car.

I'm not envious at all.... not at all!

Two years ago Tom used our 40 years old BH06 for flying around Berlin (movie "Operation Welküre")
Perhaps it was a low budget movie??
And all the ******* scientology staff we found under the seats.....after the mission.
