Help - How to built a Music player adaptor to Headset

Hello

I was surfing the net an saw an GENERAL AVIATION MUSIC PLAYER ADAPTER, and thought that it would be great to have one for those long strait in flights.

This adapter would allow to input a music device (iPod, MP3 player, CD player, Garmin with XM radio, etc.) directly in to the headset.

Does anyone know or have one, and tell me how to build one?

I would like to know the connections. My idea was to use the cable from a head set mp3, cut the head-set peace, and then weld the line it to my US Nato Socket U-92A U. The US Nato Socket U-92A U has 4 pins, what i would like to know is were to weld each cable from the mp3 cable on the 4 pin socket.

Pins 2 & 4 should be the audio, pins 1 & 3 should be the microphone connections.

Pretty straight forward. From the pointy end towards the cable:
Contact 2: Earphones, Positive
Contact 4: Earphones, Ground

You might need an amplifier in between.
If you google around for U-174 or U-94 wiring, -plug, or -jack you'll probably find some stuff. If you have a DC headset they already come with a complete wiring diagram in the box; that might help, too.

Hi,
why all the hassele to solder things and may be build in problems into your communicationssystem?
Just buy a set of inear headphones - like Apple - iPod - In-Ear Headphones
and put your head set or helmet on above.
Adjust the volume of the music in that way, that you still here radiocalls and you will have better musicquality, less noise to your ear when of and no problems with the boss or so and you can take it to every aircraft you want...

Pardon me for assuming that you were looking for something that would work plug-and-play....
As for the cost..... This cost less than the annual fee to the CAA for a type-renewal.... and it has bluetooth

Tony, that cable goes the wrong way...that's to RECORD audio from the ICS, not inject audio into it.
