Puma V UH1N noise difference
Due to the olympics we have a tempory heli base not 100 feet from my house based at the T/A ilford . Up to now we have had pumas coming and going all day and they start them up everyday when not flying to charge there batteries i guess . This morning a Bell UH1N fly over my house and landed . With the bell you get the lovely woop woop from the blades and i have to say the noise difference it and the puma is night and day . I know the Puma is heavier and carries a couple of 1000 pounds more but when they come in to land you have to put your hands over your ears as the noise is deafening . The bell has just taken off and i watched it climb away and its a fantastic looking heli with its two slow rotating blades .
Well the Puma is French built!
