Calendar?
So here we are, the 9th August & no calendar! I must assume that that's it!
I guess we are all to blame. it has died through lack of interest and/or involvement. We were warned that the supply of suitable pictures was drying up, but I guess we all thought someone else would do it!
For my part, thanks to all the contributors over the years. I looked forward to the start of each new month, - to enjoy the great pictures that you contributed.
For me the absolute pinacle was the one for June this year showing the crew and panel of a RN Sea King. Almost as good as Team GB!
Cheers!

Zero Comments! So was I the only one who used the monthly calendar as wallpaper on the desk top?
I am truly sorry at its passing, but a bit surprised that I appear to be the only one!

I think that John Eacott who used to present the monthly calender had a problem when his picture hosting website closed down and with it all his facilities. I would imagine that he would be on soon to clarify.

As TF said, the lack of photos is the main reason. I have had some stuff sent of which some has been used before and other images were too low in quality to use. I'm OK for hosting, just no fresh photos from Rotorheads to use.
It's not quite the same to trawl the web and use publicly available stuff
If I can get photos I'll run the calendar, but otherwise.......

John,
Really grateful for what you have done so far. The whole purpose of my post was to draw the situation to the attention of those guys & galls who are still flying operationally, & hopefully to get you some more raw material.
Best Wishes & thanks

I do have to add a big BZ to John for all the effort he has put into producing the calendar for us Rotorheads and others (those who have no other thing to up on their desktop every month, fixed wing dudes). I have given John a couple photos that I have collected, but I know it is sometimes difficult to find something of quality and not something that is of a helicopter on the ground, but one that is working in its element! If we operators can't find those pics for John to work with, we should still commend John for his efforts!
