Agusta SW4 - really?

Did Agusta buy PZL out or just enter incorrect details on the advertisement?

And at that price... why?

That would be a huge error... PZL - Agusta Westland

Since 29 th of January 2010 AgustaWestland company is the major shareholder of PZL-Świdnik S.A.
I didn't know the either.

How much of the aircraft is made by Agusta anyway.

You will be surprised who actually builds the frame parts for most helicopters.

WSK "PZL-Świdnik"
and cooperates widely with other nations' manufacturers, e.g., in the manufacture of Agusta A109 fuselages.
In early 2010 the factory was acquired by AgustaWestland
and

WSK PZL-Mielec
On March 16, 2007, PZL Mielec was purchased by the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, a unit of United Technologies Corporation (UTX).

Before end of 2009. final transaction AW orders
(109 & 139 airframes) to SW was on 40% level of total
SW turnover ... good reason

..... And just to clarify, PZL effectively means Polish Ltd company. Swidnik is one company and Mielec is another. I got the feeling they were being confused into one.

Both have a real capability and produce some very good stuff for both Sikorsky and AW respectively.

PZL means or meant Polish Aviation Factory.

Before end of 2009. final transaction AW orders (109 & 139 airframes) to SW was on 40% level of total SW turnover ... good reason
There was another one. The fact that the Polish Armed Forces will have in the years to come to change most of its helicopters. Big bucks. Ditto for Sikorsky and Mielec factory.
Knowing that fact, one has to be an idiot to sell the only helicopter manufacturer of the country.
