NavTech Plates: Manston UK error

The latest amendment for Manston UK from Navtech, contains a major error. Plate 53-1 (the old green page for helicopter operators) is for another airport. Navtech have been informed and will correct the error at the next amendment issue.

Navtech now have a customer service phone number on their website, so if you find an error give them a call.

AIRAC errors

As I understand it from my contacts, these AIRAC errors are commonplace and are affecting customers worldwide especially in Asia where airways have been deleted (notably Japan and Australia) - no 'quick fix' is in place and their quality assurance is virtually non-existent. Check every 'i' and 't' from now on when it comes to charting, FMS and CFP - each system uses a shared database!
