Let's get this right. You are looking to fly a six-engined Cold War warrior with a PPL.

That thing looks like it could do with a bit of a tune up.

Bell 47 in Vegas

Have not seen any flying around here at all, seen on a few months back in a hangar in Boulder City, NV (about a 30min drive from the Vegas strip). It was looking like it was in the process of restoration. Still have not actually seen it flying though. Will ask around and let you know what I come across though.

Cloud9 Helicopters in Florida had one flying the last time I was there in 08. I presume she's still there. Lovely machine!

Have a look at Chino airport there are a lot of warbirds. Ask around for Zemlock they had B47 some time ago but their website does not exist anymore.

Bell 47 in Vegas

EC155mech, sad to say that I have had no luck in tracking down a Bell 47 here in Sin City. The one I talked about in Boulder City is still in restoration, which is on hold due to lack of available funding for completion. If any new news comes about will let you know...Sorry my friend.

Hey, if you can't find a '47 to drive, how about the next best thing!

Celebrity Helicopters - Los Angeles #1 Helicopter Sightseeing Tours, Aerial Production, Flight Training, Executive Transportation, & Southern California Helicopter Rental Company

These guys used to have a 47 available in Los Angeles area, about a 4 hour drive. You'd have to check with them to see if it's still there.
