Entering Lat / Long into 296

Does anybody know how to enter a lat / long as a GoTo in this Garman 296 GPS ?? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks

I haven't got one, but I am guessing you can't, I think that you have to create a waypoint with the lat/long and give it a name, then put the waypoint into the route then hit direct-to.

Hi Gmach, I've tried looking elsewhere, but the best way it seems, without using a 3rd party software, is taken from the User guide that I guess you already have and is the method Freddie suggests.

You simply have to create a waypoint and then change the information before it is saved. As long as you have 2/3D coverage, you can do this either 'at home' or in the air.

Then it's a matter of - 'Goto' - 'New waypoint name'.

Hope it helps

You can also use the scroll function on the map page to position the cursor to the desired coordinates then hit Direct to and enter buttons
