The helicopter operation this year is being run Heli-Support Ground Services Ltd. They have published this info:

The landing site will be operating an Air/Ground Service Callsign "Chumley Radio" Frequency: 122.050 Mhz. Only call Chumley at and within 5miles.

Hope it's a great day. I will miss this year as my gearbox has only just left France to be reunited with the ship!

I missed this in 2012 due weather, but anyone know if flying in will be possible this year? On the CPOP website they talk about chartering in (Whizzard helicopters) but no mention of flying in yourself.

206, I think the website page Fly in to CPOP is just an advert.

It says, "our fleet of helicopters will fly you or your group directly to Cholmondeley‘s Heliport located right in the centre of the event.", which suggests to me that it might be more fruitful to try this link Contact Us

Or by using info gained from post #2;

Booking Information - heli-support
LANDING REQUEST, INDEMNITY & PILOT BRIEF CPOP 2013 Please complete the Landing Request Form & The Indemnity Form for your attendance at CPOP (To reach us by at least 48hrs before the event) Please ensure you also read and comply with the Pilot Brief Ground Services are provided by HELI-Support Ground Services Limited for the Landing and Parking of your Helicopter(s)

I think it is free entry if you fly yourself in as they are keen to encourage visitors by helicopter

From the Heli Support Fly In Booking Form;

Please note, landing and entry to the Pageant for all the helicopter passengers is free but there is a £35 (per day) ground handling administration charge for each day you intend to visit the Pageant which must be paid alongside submitting the above form. If no payment is recieved, your application will be void and you will not be permitted landing or entry to the Pageant.

Bit of a cheek really as they want us to be part of the attraction

Now. just where does it say that?
Besides, £35 for the ac parking and free entry for all its passengers, sounds like a very good deal to me. Especially considering the gate price entry is £35 per person!

I'd happily pay £35 for the car parking if the whole family gets in free
