Awesome pictures.
There are not many pilots on the planet who fly in this exciting environment in a low key way.
No flying suits, epaulettes, bone domes or tinted visors.
How long does it take for newcomers to adjust to the altitude?

John Eacott - the 'Teton' team same guys from the 'Art of Flight' minus Travis Rice, this team was lead by Jeromy Jones. The jump spot was about 21,900' & the exit was about 18,000'
Ye Olde Pilot - hehehe white shirts & gold bars is for ego massage, not for Helicopter Pilots. Adjustment time......hmmmm million dollar question, depends on where You'd lived (height), fitness levels & mental stamina

Love the burning and turning while unloading.
The health and safety brigade would have a field day in the UK.
It looks like you push those machines to the limits.

G'day Ye old Pilot
Yep it's written in our Ops. Man. that provided the machine is proven set down on stable ground, ground idle, frictions ON & hydraulics OFF, we can exit the machine to expedite turn around + increase general & Tail Rotor safety Yep pre take-off & landing checks above 9,000' - geni off, nose cocked off to give more lever to pull up max limits on most missions here 1mm from the triangle for 5seconds on most escapes
Happy Landings

on your post of pictures 1328 the first picture.... at the rear of the Heli level with the tail winglet I can just make out a yellow and black item is that a cable or is it one of those sky high catenery type walkways over the valley, was that hatching done for your sighting or is it a standard sort of thing done in Nepal..?
But what else can we all say, fantastic views from your daily mobile office seat !!
