Namaste Ye ole Pilot

It's the normal Rotorheads flying life here (80% of the year) doing; the crap weather, real limited power!!! ISA+30DA, contour map reading in the rivers, connecting the right junctions to get to Your destination can be tricky, low level in-the river navigation, dodging weather, wires? fuel errr taking all your return fuel to dump somewhere so You can arrive on your pad low on fuel & just light enough to pull a Patient off a 23,000' ledge with sometimes way less than hover power; using extreme limited power techniques to fall off & GO yep it's challenging to say the least not for everyone, nor the faint hearted none the less it's still just another Helicopter flying job

Helicopter Rescue dependance & use is very much a growing industry, giving greater safety options for the intrepid Trekkers, Mountaineers & the Villagers.......not to mention aiding the very Sherpa's that risk their lives for their clients in this extreme & tough environment

Many Thanks for Your Blessings

Happy landings

@VF

Long time no see

Where have you been? I see, you are still very high! I think, you need only 1000 or 2000' to touch the TOP!

One more great set of pictures!

Hi, nice photos.
I'm a mountaineer and helicopter pilot but for now I'm flying in a very hot country, far form my mountains.
I suppose you are flying with oxygen.
SM told me he that over there he flies without oxygen. is it true??????

Hey Te_Kahu

There IS ONLY one machine on the Planet that could do what we do here at these high DA's & ultra high altitudes. Sadly there is no competition (that I am aware of) for the AS350B3+ Eucurial she is the Ultra high altitude Rocket

Happy Landings

Hi would a 355 operate at the altitudes you achieve? Or something more modern? If not why only the 350 that can operate at these heights?

Keep up with the great pictures, amazing!

Angel 'SALAEFC'

Hey nomorehelosforme

Check every RFM of all machines.. nothing delivers hot & ultra high performance like the 350B3,B3+,Be do.... NOTHING. She can HOGE at 10,000' ISA at MTOW..

Given favorable conditions, she can land at 23,K+' & still have sufficient power to take off with 1 injured Man!!!

Her performance is amazing to say the least. Even a 407 does not come within a KooooWeee of the 350B3 range at sea level well......then there's so many other options

Happy Landings

The 407HP may be a contender in the near future but it will be hard to beat the B3 for operating costs and performance.
I wish my customer base would support a B3 but the L4 I get to fly is pretty good up to 16000.

Angel Top of the World - details

G'day nomorehelosforme

6 years Indian Himalayas & 2.5 years in Nepal Australia.

Hi nuthin

407HP hmmm lets see, but then there's still that stupid tub floor, high lip to step over getting in, teeny weeny punsy cargo locker when the Aux. tank is in, no side lockers. Sure it's lovely to fly, nicer than an Eucuriel but I don't feel she will deliver the goods in a direct comparison when ultra high & hot.

Happy Landings always

Agreed VF, and better let someone else have the A model first.

I guess you never have a basket attached? Never seen one anyway.

Were those last photos recent? They looked similiar to the photos last winter with Breashers. Good to see anyway.

How many hours a year do you fly there?
