My altitude record is an embarrassing 12 grand, in a 2-bladed Bell with 3 engines. I imagine that would be a subterranean coal mine altitude in your neck of the woods! I think I'd need to be kept well away from any flight controls, with the IFR covers on the windscreens, and wearing foggles. I'd need to rely on the other senses for sensing any mountin' women in proximity.

That would be a 212 with a spare underslung?

I got a Huey to 17,000 in PNG but its envelope was 20kt min to 40kt max, certainly no attempt at landing on Mt Wilhelm.

Close enough, here ye be awarded a cigar. 'Twas indeed a 212, with a spare in the back. And half frozen me up front with no map. I did start out with a map but it blew out the window. Anyway, couldn't see much of the ground to make use of a map, and the top-of-climb checklist has me closing my eyes until ready for descent.

I see both throttles are all the way forward in the military power detent...you might say balls to the wall, or whatever the gender specific term in the same context.

Evening gulliBell.......it's the throttle levers, they're gender neutral, or transsexual clubs
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hoy cavuman1.......eeer would that be cront

G'day Flying Bull.....WoW but; I saw a 350 blade delamination bodgied up with duct tape, flew that way & then the Star-flex failed in the hover a month later if it needs fixing, then do it right, or don't do it at all
