HM Coastguard Sikorsky Badge

Hi All,

A bit of a weird one here, but if you look at the badge below:

Well does anyone know what the above badge but all in gold represents?

Also as a collector does anyone know of where these badges may be available?

Kind Regards,

'Badges, we don't need no stinking badges'

Shetlander,

it represents the era when Bristows operated the S61 on contract to the Coastguard to provide search and rescue services from Sumburgh, Stornoway, Lee on Solent and then Portland bases.

Maybe asking one of the old Bristow crew for a badge is your only chance or perhaps ebay.

Merry Christmas.

I've got one but not seen one all in gold, not aware of any significance of a gold one either sorry. I will try to remember to ask this week at work though.
