Nice to see it painted in "Standard" Coast Guard colour scheme that fits the rest of the world. Not the Orange Black that was going the way of SAR-H once upon a time.
Yes, agree, Green stripe = Nice Enjoy flying it boys.

"CHC will utilize four additional S-92 SAR aircraft which will become operational out of Sligo, Waterford and Dublin airports over time."
Over time?
We're dying to know what that means.

"The new helicopter will be based at Shannon, as part of a €500 million helicopter fleet replacement programme which also involves introducing four second-hand S-92s currently based in Scotland."
Ready for take-off: Coast Guard helicopter completed - The Irish Times - Sat, Dec 24, 2011
The Irish Times article mentioned that the new S-92 was "Built to specifics drawn up by the Irish Coast Guard", does this mean that the four former HM Coastguard aircraft will be altered so they are the same specification as the new aircraft, or will there the new aircraft have different capabilities when compared to the the rest of the fleet?
Also, why the different spelling? It's the 'Irish Coast Guard', but 'HM Coastguard'. A quick Google shows that the US uses the 'Coast Guard' spelling.
I've got a mate who works on the winch with these guys. He's been on rescue since his Aer Corps days and is still clueless about the craft he serves on... ie the S61 is "95 feet long indoors"
He's the bravest guy I know, and has suffered knocks that would have put most out of the business.
I'm dreading the stories about this new machine...
Good luck Coast Guard.
