Not a good week.

Italian ANSV: helicopter accident in the province of Macerata. Occupants died
01:08 pm - Friday -- Rome, Italy - Press release of the Italian Air Safety Board

(WAPA) - The Italian Air Safety Board (ANSV) has opened an investigation and has promptly sent one of its own investigators in Santo Stefano di Cingoli, where this morning, the A-109 helicopter registered in Switzerland, crashed.

In the accident, the three people on board lost their lives.

The presence on the site of the ANSV accident investigator is aimed at conducting an initial inspection and collection of useful elements for the research activity. (Avionews)

L’Agenzia nazionale per la sicurezza del volo (ANSV) ha aperto l’inchiesta di sicurezza di competenza ed ha immediatamente disposto l’invio di un proprio investigatore in località Santo Stefano di Cingoli, dove, questa mattina, è precipitato l’elicottero A109 marche HB-ZJN.
Nell’evento sono decedute le tre persone che si trovavano a bordo dell’aeromobile.
La presenza sul sito dell’incidente dell’investigatore ANSV è mirata allo svolgimento di un primo sopralluogo operativo per la raccolta di elementi utili all’attività di indagine.
Briefly:

Accident happened this morning (11/11/11) in S.Stefano di Cingoli. A/C reg. is HB-ZJN, 3 onboard lost their lives. ANSV (Italian AAIB) on site.

It follow another one happened in Sicily (AS365N3 reg. I-DAMS), EMS flight, 1 fatality by just 2 days. Not a good week indeed...

Vehicle Accident - Europe - Italy

At around 10:30 this morning, in the province of Macerata, in Santo Sefano di Cingoli, an A-109 helicopter with a Swiss registration crashed. According to a 118 source, the victims would be at least 3, all of them are Swiss: pilot, copilot and a third passenger who was on board. The aircraft has the word "Ticino" written on one side. At the time of the accident, a thick fog was present in the area, the probable cause of the tragedy. The alarm was given by the staff of the airport of Ancona-Falconara when the helicopter disappeared from radar screen.
