North > South America Ferry Route

Hello folks,

I'll be ferrying a R66 from California to Brazil in mid september,

I'm planing on flying from CA to Key West in Florida then do the island route.

I'd like to know if anyone who´s done the trip can provide me with the airports (island part) with jet fuel so I can plan everything accordingly, and any other information would be very valuable!

This will at least get you to Key West.

After that down through the island route you need a bucket of loose change in US and EC. Legs are pretty short and easy, the formalities are a bit of a ball ache.

And this will soothe the pain through the islands.

If you decide not to go that way then don't forget on the alternative route you will need "Mexican" insurance.

Hello RV,

What currency is EC?

Do I have to contact the country before I fly in it? Or just fly in and do everything together along with customs?

Thanks
