What are UK regs on building and driving hovercraft ?.

No regulations atall.

Simply buy/build one and go play with it like you would with a jetski/small boat.

There is the hovercraft club of great britain you can join if you wish.


I built a large 4 man craft about 5 years ago and played with it on various beaches

The accident happened in NZ, although that does not invalidate the question. I believe that tegwin is correct about amateur hovercraft. The commercial ones were run under requirements administered by the Marine Safety Agency, although there are few, if any, left.
