Dirt cheap fuel idea?

So.

Buy two old rusty ships. Weld helipad to one. Fill both with fuel tanks. Get second one to do shuttle runs to UAE to fill up and come back. Park the one with the helipad 12nm miles outside in territorial waters. Let helicopters come and drink. Charge a pittance tax free for Jet A1. Become a millionaire overnight.

Maybe you should fly on over and buy some? Of course, you may not be able to get home on a tank of cheap Jet-A so you might to enjoy the cultural sights for a while. I hear that bulllets, guns and all kinds of incredible weaponary are also very competitively priced there as well - maybe even helicopters.

I say go for it. Let us know how you get on...

might be easier to attempt to compete in the taxi line up without a cab license.

Maybe you can put a heli-pad on the shuttle tanker and charge the "Pig & Pussy" boys a small fee to do some Pirate shooting for sport. The opportunities may be endless!! Bon Chance!

I would be most interested to see where this refuel ship would be located.

Park the one with the helipad 12nm miles outside in territorial waters. Let helicopters come and drink.
12Nm @120 kts @ 3kg/min = 18kg = 20 litres

If this 20 litres was taken from a 600 litre ac tank it would be equivelant to a cars 60 litre tank using 2 litres of fuel to get to the pump.

Taking a modern petrol Ford Mondeo Ford Mondeo
40 miles per gallon = 17.0057483 kilometers per liter

Isn't this the equivelant of driving your car 34km/22 miles to get to the cheaper fuel...

...and then you'd have to drive back home......Would you?

The EEZ extends to 200nm, not to 12
If that detail in post no.5 above is correct, it would be a round trip of more than 400nm.

Bargain.

If 12 miles by heli = 22 by road....200 miles by heli = 367 by road.

Just like going from Birmingham to Dundee to fill the car up, a 734 mile round trip!
