What's with the gigantic dog house? Is the engine or MGB that much bigger?

No but possibly hotter along with new MGB and higher power requirement. Now think about something that likes heat and is dangerous to the occupants.

Happened about 15 years ago - called Bell 407 (based on 206L and OH 58D rotor system.)
