MCC as PPL

Hey guys ( and girls )

was wondering if it is possible to do the MCC course if you only have a PPL, but have the intention on moving on to ATPL ?

and is there any point in getting it this early ?

have been looking around in the FCL but havent been successful in finding the information i seek.

any thoughts on this ?

With helicopters, the MCC course is usually covered as part of the MPH type rating course.

This seems to be different to the fixed-wing world where the MCC is a stand alone course.
