Adding a new Type and flying the old one

Chatting with a guy today who asked if there were any limitations on flying two types whilst doing a type conversion. I'm sure I recall that once we had to get 50 hours on the new type before we could go back to flying both new and old on PT ops, plus operating another type PT during the course was forbidden. Can't find where such a rule would be written. Anyone know what I'm referring to and where I can find it?

Hi Geoff,

For the rules about completion of a conversion, try JAR-OPS 3.945(a)(8) and its associated guidance.

For rules about flying more than one type, try JAR-OPS 3.980 and its associated guidance.
