EDM 800 on the F28C-2 help needed
Has anybody got any experience using the Lean Find function?
I need a step by step guide for dummies. This machine is going to be used as an ab-initio training machine. I think its going to be very difficult to teach a student to fly with the left hand and leaning with the right hand AND running the Lean Find function on the EDM 800!!
My procedure is as follows:
1 start up and warm up procedure as per the Enstrom's flight manual
2 Pre-lean to 1350 degrees F EGT
3 Hover and take off as per flight manual
4 In the cruise use 28" MAP and fly straight and level
5 Run the Lean Find function on the EDM 800 by pressing the LF button and lean until "Leanest" is displayed on the EDM display.
6 Richen the mixture to 1550 degrees.
