Portsmouth

I am a regular low level transitee of the area around the Spinnaker Tower and have always used the 250,000 chart. I happened to glance at a 500,000 chart the other day and note a restricted(?) area close to Spinnaker up to 2,200feet which certainly doesn't feature on the 250,000. It may well have been there for years. Anyone know what it is for; why it's not on the 250.000; and is blissful ignorance a good excuse?

Not easy with the naked eye ( I used a magnifying glass) - but there is a grid in the circle suggesting a "Rad Haz" up to 2200fts amsl. The ones on Portsdown Hill to the north are of course more obvious

Makes sense at the the Naval Dockyard - possibly the stealth radar on HMS Victory ! Take care in the air. UG
