Marenco Swiss Helicopter
In latest issue or Rotor and Wing I have seen the ad, that catched my eyes.
A Swiss company intends develop a new SE helicopter. 5 blade rotor, fenestron, sleek design, impressive perf. Their website is at

There is not so much info on their web, just couple of 3d models. Do you have more info about it? What are the people behind, funding, timeline?

I talked to one of their head guys at Heli Expo a fortnight ago and from what I gathered, the first test flight is scheduled for next year. The beauty of the cockpit design is the practical application for underslung load operations and that is an observation window between the pilot and co-pilot's seats.
My pic of the SKYe SH09 are here in the Heli Expo 2011 thread however I am putting on this thread here for you

Cheers

Wow, what a brilliant machine! 8 passengers, 145 Kts, 3 hours endurance, all weather capability, Impressive hot and high performance and all that with a 2,5 ton single!
They should put a dual hoist to it and advertise it as the future long range SAR helicopter.
I allways believed the swiss were more realistic, but then you never know which pills they had for breakfast.

If they go through with this helicopter I hope that they are able to met the posted capabilities AND understand that just building a nice helicopter is only part of the equation. It also requires a good customer support system to make it a success. Unfortunately this is something that several manufacturers have never understood and several other manufacturers seem to be in the process of forgetting.
Any updates on Marenco?
Been checking their website and doesn't appear to be many updates. Though the first flight from what I gather at Heli Expo should be pretty soon though, like before the end of the year.

Hubschrauberproduktion in Altenburg?
In short: A swiss holding company wants to buy property at the Altenburg airport to built a Helicopter production plant.
Deal not fixed yet, but expected this month.

Marenco to Roll Out SKYe09 on 28th November
HeliHub: Marenco Roll Out
HeliHub: 18 Nov, 13
Marenco Swisshelicopter has announced the roll out of its SKYe SH09 prototype helicopter and which is scheduled to take place on November 28th 2013 at Mollis airport in Switzerland where MSH staff together with their team of suppliers will welcome press and dignitaries from across the industry and throughout the region.

“Our teams have made outstanding progress in completing the first prototype and in processing the certification of the SKYe SH09” said Martin Stucki, Chief Executive Officer and designer of the helicopter. He noted “This important achievement is the result of combined efforts from our staff and from our suppliers”.
Mathias Senes, Commercial Director, points out that it is rather unique to reach such detailed quality in a first prototype and ads “our prospects and clients will witness our commitment to quality and will certainly value what we meant by High Visibility Cockpit”.
