Aero contractors 332/ 225 at Aberdeen

I saw an Aerocontractors AS332L2/225 parked outside the CHC-Scotia hangar at Aberdeen, a long way from its home in Nigeria. Is it over here for a maintenance check or maybe storage.

It's an EC225 that was one of two on contract to Total in Nigeria. Both machines have now left Nigeria for pastures new. Rumour has it that Total were unhappy with the serviceability/availability of the EC225, in particular the reliability of the engines.

Sorry Variable Load, but you are wrong this time - the issues were entirely to do with local politics between ACN and CHC.

The first of these 225's was in Aberdeen earlier in the year, re-registered as G-PNEO briefly before being ferried to Brazil. Don't know the fate of this one but probably similar.

PPNG's comment also spot-on
