HE11MED

About four years ago it dawned on me that when the '11' series vehicle registration plates came out, one of the combos would be HE11MED.

So, even though I am not a big fan of personal plates, I saved up my pennies all these years and waited. And waited. Eventually I got an EMail from DVLA saying that the 11 series plates would be available from Dec 7th at 08:30. A quick check revealed that HE11MED would only be £399! Obviously the DVLA boys hadn't spotted the combo. It would be mine...

So, spot on at 08:30 I signed on and...it was gone! Then I realised that today is actually December 8th!! AAAAAAAARRGHHHH!!

So...the question is...did anybody on PPRUNE grab this plate?

FF

PS I checked for my second choice and sadly ID 10 T wasn't available either....

Know a guy who bought A5AAB for his SAAB 900 many years ago and finally flogged to the MD of SAAB GB at a considerable profit !!

Bummer! That could have been me making £1,000 in 24 hours!!

That price doesn't include VAT, transfer or physical plates - the total is nearer £1750 with all that on top. Little bit too steep for a penniless driver, I'm afraid.

However, if enough Ppruners feel sorry for me and my tragic loss, perhaps a charitable Xmas collection could be arranged?

Shall I set up a "justgiving" site??

It's a good job you're not playing the stock market, selling your shares the day after the price plummets !!

Try buying : BO 11 OKS instead, It could be your catchphrase !!

Nice idea Tarman, I'll take it under consideration! However, it may be cheaper to get HE11KOV or some other foreign-sounding name and change my name by deed poll to match. I really don't know why more people don't do that...

Whilst on the subject of 11 regs....wonder if anybody got HE11COP ?

Helimed drivers can't afford personalised plates!
Some paramedic or doctor type will snaffle it.

I should be doing other things just now but my mind started to think of a few more 2011 number plates.

Maybe this should be the start of another thread but how about these for starters:

WA11ACE
TE11 ALL
WE11 MAN
BA11 BOY
CA11 HER
HE11 MAN
FA11 GUY
RO11AND
TA11 BOY

Over to you guys . . . . . . . . . . . .. .
