Cornwall: People Rescued From Cars After Floods Hit Cornwall Following Heavy Rain

People have been trapped in their homes and cars after heavy rain led to flooding in Cornwall, according to reports.

Devon and Cornwall police say they are dealing with a "major flooding incident" after the River Fowey burst its banks around St Austell.

There are reports two military helicopters have been involved in rescues.

The Eden Project tourist attraction's official Twitter page says it is "closed today due to flooding in the St Austell area".
