A Tale of Two Dauphins

Evidently this Dauphin II arrived at Fairoaks yesterday as N886TW, was washed and subsequently departed as G-PDGK.

No doubt one of those quick-remove paint jobs so oft utilised for film industry assignments!

Very cool. Looks like the sequel to The Jackal has a bigger budget.

iamtheroll wrote on the North Sea Heli-Ditching thread that he had seen a Dancopter 155.

FBav replied:
It will fly for MOG and Dong/Hess in Denmark, (DanCopter has 4 EC225s not flying).

PNG Visit

PC wearing a PNGDF uniform? With AAC wings?

Interesting to say the least as was his arrival via RAAF 'Ausjet' as opposed to a special charter. Austerity in action one presumes!

Looks like Mal 'Kela' Smith at 0:33 secs in the video below:

Plot by assassin and drugs baron to escape prison by HELICOPTER foiled by wardens

A sensational plot by an assassin and a drugs baron to escape jail by helicopter has been foiled by guards.Gang leader Mark Osborne and hitman Wayne Collins hatched a plan to break-out from Gartree prison in Leicester, which was the scene of Britain's only other helicopter prison escape in 1987.

As part of their austerity measures for 2013, Naryan-Mar Airport in Russia have trained a handful of dogs to perform day-time 'follow me' duties for aircraft requesting this service.

Airport director Vladimir Volnikov said "Our canine comrades have shown themselves wery capable in showing the aircraft where to park and, as a result, this year we expect to save over 30,000 Rubles by using these animals."

Oh yes .. in order to 'validate' this post .. please note the Mi26 above the 73's starboard wing root!
