2 questions for Instructors

I'll make this fairly cut and dry.
1)When you all were in training, when did you begin working on your CFI book/lesson plans?

2)How long did it take to complete?

I was considering starting work on it a bit early so as to get an early start but also thought it would help me better understand the material I have already been taught.

I started mine the day after I passed my CPL but I wish I had started sooner.

To finish all the LPs for CFI and CFI-I took about 7 weeks.
