Rotorheads Calendar September 2010

Greg McNair of AerialSouth.com sent me this excellent photo of a Bell 407 from Rotor Wing Incorporated at Mobile Regional Airport, Mobile Alabama, which he took after a video shoot back on the 18th August. Greg is a professional photographer from Birmingham, AL, and took the photo on a Canon EOS 5D at 1/1000 sec at f/4.0 ISO 50: as it is such a high resolution image I have changed the image size to 1920 x 1200 for widescreen, and 1360 x 1088 for standard screen. The file sizes are now 1.9mb and 1.3mb, so download will take a bit longer: if the preference is for this size in future, I can make this the default.

Many thanks to Greg and Rotor Wing for a stunning shot

Wide screen size:

Standard screen size:

As always, for Windows users click on the thumbnail to open a higher resolution full picture, and then right click to select “Set as Background”. Mac users should select the background via System Preferences.

I'm just honoroed you thought it was worthy of the calendar John, thank you. And it was actually shot with a 5d Mk2, but who's counting, right? Glad you guys like the pic. Enjoy! And if you care to see it, I put together a little video for the benefit of the PIC. I didn't intend to document the day in a final video like this, so nothing was framed as such. Pardon the crappy cockpit video--it's really all about the sound of those rotors that you get to hear towards the end.
