Malabo

I heard a story the other day. CHC has pulled out of Malabo and the 76's have been ferried to the east coast of Africa.

Anyone have any facts about this?

That's quite a story!!

There are a few long term contracts in place and on-going.

I've heard from one crew member in Malabo with-in the last few hours and he didn't mention anything about flying to east africa.

Maybe one of the aircraft on a short term contract buggered off eastbound, lucky bastard!

I know that they have landed a contract in Southern Tanzania and also have one up and running in Northern Mozambique. Could it be that one of the Malabo machines is being sent to Tanzania and will be replaced by something else?

Well I think that if you had hit yourself with the golf ball, then yes, I would suggest you quit playing golf

There are 2 76 C+'s in Malabo working for Exxon and one A++ working for Noble Energy. One other A++ leaving at the end of the month for a short term contract in Tanzania.

Cheers,

CD

expats in Malabo

Hi guys,

there seems to be a probability I will be flying in Malabo for 30 days, how you see the overall situation there for expat pilot and aircraft owner, is it safe now ?
Thanks
