Try this link:
EUROCONTROL - European AIS
I have flown around Istanbul but that is about it. Alot of paperwork once on the ground.
Very good ATC.
I have done quite a bit around Greece but any sort of VFR chart is not available. I had to use my Jeppview charts which did suffice but coupled with ONC charts for the longer flights.

Have JOG (Air) charts fallen by the wayside with government cuts? Hardly seems likely.
Stanfords in London used to sell them, though they probably need ordering in.
Joint Operations Graphic used to cover most of the world, and the (Air) overprint was a handy aviation chart for VFR nav at 1:500.000 scale.

thans a lot agaricus
Tried to find jog charts in BCN area, and they seem to take quite a long to time to be delivered, and not updated so Iīforget them.
The curious thing I am facing preparing this trip to Turkey, is that we (the company) have been forced to obtain a local partner to work in Turkey) and we e-mailed a request to provide us area charts and visual app charts for a few airports such as istambul ankara etc and their answer is that they do not exist in Turkey
I try to enter Turkey AIP webpage but requires a valid registered name and pin which I have tried to obtain by sending e mail to a specific e mail adress appearing on the aip page but no answer.
Does anybody has a valid name and password to access Turquish AIP??
I know its more than difficult but i had to try..

Well, you can't fly VFR without charts, so go IFR. Damn sight easier too.
As an afterthought, do a search for Turkish flying clubs and e-mail a few to ask re VFR procedures. charts etc. They'd be a darn sight more helpful than the government agencies, and a lot better informed.
You're beginning to discover the nightmare of Turkish bureaucracy. Also most, if no all official documents will be in Turkish only. Do you read Turkish?
Silly me. What you really want is the TPC series, Tactical Pilotage Charts. Half Mil scale, 1/4 Mil JOG would cost a fortune on that route. You'll still need to do some amendments from AIP's I expect to ensure all restricted airspace really is depicted.
Links to Stanfords TPC catalogue, and one in USA. They're in stock, too!
