Squire Yates of Anglia/Sumburgh/Brent Radar has now retired and many thanks to crews of Bristows, Scotia, Bond and the OON Hotels for giving me an easy ride over the years......All the best...

How I miss that reassuring tweed jacketed, leather elbow patched jacket wearing, Anglia controller on handover. Ok, I accept they hadn't all sewn in the patches.....

Were you previously Brent/Viking approach when it was offshore based on the Nordraug (sp?) when Harry Hockney was i/c? Oh, happy days !

Oh I remember Harry but did not work with him, My early Brent/Viking days were spent on the Cormorant Alpha platrorm in the East Shetland Basin and then I moved to Aberdeen when NATS picked up the contract.....
Offshore we worked 10 days on and 20 off....nice

did you always work ATC ? i remember someone of the same name who was worked the DSV's in the late 70's
