Fly-in & BBQ: Nappsfield, Stock, Essex, Saturday 19th June 2010

Folks, building on the success of last weekend's fly-in (EGSX on 24/04), I have had a chat with a friend of mine with a strip in Stock in Essex (West of Hanningfield Reservoir).

The owner (Bob) loves choppers and we have been in a few times now with FEDA and the fixed wing fleet. He is keen for us to use the field.

The intention is arrival at lunchtime and we will lay on a BBQ (burgers, sausages, etc.,....carrots for veggies).

Leave when you like or stay over if you wish (bring tent).

For those interested, I have posted a rotorheads page on the flying monkey website for 24/04, which is 'aero-simian centric' and covers the day out from The Flying Monkey cohort.

I live not a fantastic distance away from Stock, it's a lovely little place.

I'm only soon to be a mere student if all goes well, am I eligible to come?

PoloJamie, ofcourse.....if learning by then fly in with instructor

It's not about distance...it's for the hell of it!...A 'purpose' gives us a mission...else I wouldn't be going to Redhill (albeit by fixed wing) to pick up FEDA then fly back to Essex..when I live in Thurrock

Sounds like fun! I'll need to confirm closer the time, as attendance will depend on funds available and location, but I'm keen.

For anyone struggling to find Stock, it's just West of Hanningfield Resevoir.

S1lverback,
I'm glad you've taken the "baton" and decided to organise another fly-in!!

Count me and the "300" in!! Perhaps we could actually meet this time!!

Great pictures on your website of the North Weald fly-in, why don't you post the link on here??

If you have special dietry requirements that preclude you from fizzy pop and meat, then please bring own veggie burgers, salad and Evian

As before, welcome to stay over if you wish, but otherwise guess most will be departing @3 or 4pm (or earlier if visiting Air Britain Fly-In)...I have to get FEDA back to Redhill and put her to bed.

Would love to see as many as possible, feel free to bring family...I will be as is my daughters 3rd Birthday that weekend.
