tet,
Enough of the Grey Nomad, Laddie
I had a little trip along the south coast to WA and back, 9000km on my motorbike. The calendar is uploading now, so I'll put the April thread up soon.
Aviation related, a couple of pictures across the Nullabor of one of the RFDS emergency airstrips:

For a fleeting second of three, and I don't know if Vee Any realised just how much a lend of me he could have had, I almost went into cardiac arrest.
I had serious visions of those godamn caravans, at about 2 in the morning with cold shivers - as I sat bolt upright in bed - , that one stooges up behind on the highway, be it by truck, limo or rotary, the mesaage on the back window says;
"Hi, this is Daisy Mae and Cedric, just call us on channel 27, have a nice day"
As a whole stream of traffic, including half a boat load of cattle, I.E. about anything from 1200 to 3,000 cattle at 216 per six deck three trailer unit, are banked up with about twenty other vehicles for the next twenty K or so, waiting for the next passing lane.
Good to see that everyone is still alive and living a life.
cheers tet.
