Angry 9A VIP Mi8 MTV crash in Vukovar 2.5 years ago

Approximately 2,5 years ago near city of Vukovar VIP Mi 8 MTV crashed after take off under hot conditions. Flight engineer and two persons on ground perished and seven people was injured.

Investigation went on typical Croatian way, report was never published. After 2,5 years some engineers working on VIP interior are accused and will be prosecuted for negligence during set up of certified insulation material on salon ceiling near antitorque control lines and “investigation” find out that pilot was unable to control tail rotor blades in way to change the pitch angle because of insulation jam between control actuator sticks.

Please take your own judgment…..

PS second “VIP” with no more VIP on board, made couple hundred block hours after that. Unit was grounded for first 4 weeks only.

(sound on Croatian, sorry, we may put some ENG titles in future)
