honest advice?

I'm looking to get into choppers and would really like to be an instructor for a few years, build some hours and enjoy flying. I have been flying fixed wing for pleasure but really want to make a career out of helicopters. my concerns are:
1 its sodding expensive!
2 does anybody really want to learn to fly with a 21 year old?
3 will i get a job?
4 will i ever really earn enough to recoup what i spend?

any advice?
