Sea King over Swansea to day

noticed the yellow RAF sea king tracking out I believe in the direction of north devon circa 1pm. Dont know if it was out of Morrisotn Hopsital after a job in the area or what. I was wondering if crab was flying it or one of his colleagues.
If you see this crab can I ask just out of interest what the airframe hours on your sea kings are up to presently?

Seaking 3a came into service about May 97 ish
I suspect they are at the 6000 hr mark

...and the HAR3s, mostly dating from the late 70s, must be up to nearly 15000 by now.

I amy be wrong but I see to remember they got mk8's around 97 or so, dunno what they did with the older machines then.
I do reckon around 6000 hours must be the norm for the three machines I believe they acquired around that time.

Bolkow - not me, I'm in the South Atlantic at the mo! The Mk3A Sea Kings, as well as being vastly superior to the steam driven Mk3s are a lot younger and are in the 5-6000 hour bracket now.

Sunday 3rd

I believe 169 was exercising and did some work with Brecon/Central MRTs. Not sure if they got involved in that day's callouts though. They were back on Monday, see BBC News - Woman walker and her dog rescued but the area was actually Longtown team with Brecon and Central also called in.
