Heli-Expo 2010
Got my tickets, hotel reservation, airport shuttle booked and it is almost time to pack for Heli-Expo 2010.
So who knows where the greatest party will be? Anyone organising a “Prune Bash” this year?

Happy New Year all.
With a bit of luck this will be the last Houston [until someone re-invents it again!]... the show is fine ... no, it is brilliant... but this venue has a lot of downers compared to the other options.
You know what they say in the film world... location, location, location.... and although the Convention Centre is 'nice' enough the concrete canyons of Downton Houston are not the best backdrop.
The ever popular Las Vegas looming just over the horizon ... location, location, location...

HAI tries to spread the convention out between the two coasts and the middle of the country. They out grew Dallas and this is why they are in Houston. As for being in the concrete canyons, who goes outside during the convention anyway? Houston does have positives, like real BBQ and kolaches. As for LV, it is basicly a west coast location, but in the past it has always been over booked and expensive.

BBQ and kolaches--2 of the only 5 things I miss about living in Texas. I just booked my flight and signed up for the flight instructor's course. Last year I attended the Wire Environment and Mountain Flying courses, both of which I'd highly recommend. Also, the CFI mentoring workshop was excellent.

If any member of pprune is going to Heli Expo then make sure you stop in and say hi at Booth 4528, right by Sikorsky.
Cheers and hope to see some of you there.
